  • All sitters pass a mandatory background check.
  • All sitters go through an in-depth interview process.
  • All sitters are required to provide any essential personal information.
  • All sitters are required to be bonded and insured.

Meet Your Sitter Before You Schedule

We believe that you and your pet should feel as comfortable as possible with your sitter before our scheduled service takes place. That’s why we offer a free in-home consultation before your first service begins. This gives everyone a chance to get to know each other and make sure that this is a good fit.

You’ll Get The Same Trusted Sitter Every Time

When you schedule a service with us, we’ll partner you with a primary and back-up pet sitter based on your needs and schedule. You’ll have the chance to meet these nearby sitters and once you approve of them, we’ll assign them to your account. Any time you schedule services thereafter, you’ll receive care from your primary or back-up sitter. This way you know your pet is getting care from someone you (and they) know, trust, and like every time.

We’ve Earned a Glowing Reputation

With tens of thousands of satisfied clients nationwide, we’ve earned a solid reputation as the most trusted and reliable pet care service in the country. And it isn’t just Fetch as a company. Each of our sitters come with fantastic reviews of their own and our local owners are constantly reviewing feedback surveys to ensure it stays that way.

Fetch! Cares Volunteer Program

Pet care isn’t just for paying clients. Did you know pet surrenders have been increasing? Our paw-friends at the shelters in our communities need more help than ever. Shelters are overwhelmed–their resources and space stretched thin. We donate our services and supplies in anyway we can. To date, we’ve volunteered for dog walks, foster care, rounded up donations for care packs, and helped promote local shelters at our Fetch! events. The pups give back too! We transport and escort them to senior living centers so that they can spread their love and smiles. See how you can help! These are just a few of many organizations in our communities doing life saving work:

Meet The Team

Sandra–Owner & Pack Leader

I am a mom of two young human kids and two senior fur-kids. After two decades in content marketing, I made the life-changing decision to leave my corporate path and apply my skills toward growing my own company with Fetch! Pet Care of Charlottesville. I love that I can devote more time to my family and support our area communities with premium quality pet care and a great place to work!

Rachel

I grew up in rural Illinois where there wasn’t much around other than animals and corn fields. From the farms to the wildlife to house pets, I wanted to be friends with every animal that I could find. As someone who enjoys distance running, my favorite runs consist of cows in fields running alongside me and dogs running from their porches to get some quick pets. I have always fulfilled my love for animals through pet sitting for family and friends and when I moved to Virginia, I just couldn’t give that up. I love getting to meet all kinds of new animals and giving my love to your pets as if they were my own

Krista

I have been in Charlottesville for a year, but I have worked in animal care for almost my whole life! I started out in pet training, shifted to nutrition, which led me to veterinary medicine as a Vet Tech. I have a shepherd husky named Jack, an American bully named Hippo, and three cats! In my free time I love to rescue plants, and time outside with my dogs exploring Charlottesville. I love a pet that isn’t willing to give up its love easily because when I finally earn it, it is so incredibly rewarding! I can’t wait for the opportunity to spoil your fur babies!

Cameron

I spent the majority of my childhood in a very small town in Floyd County where I grew up with three dogs. My history pet care include volunteering at a veterinarian clinic and a therapeutic riding school. I’ve also lived and worked on a goat farm where I cared for 15 goats, 3 dogs and other farm animals. Currently, I reside in North Garden with my Bichon puppy Yoda! I’m working full time with fetch to pursue my love of giving animals passionate care.

Stacey

I grew up at the Jersey Shore and moved to Virginia almost 25 years ago. There’s nothing more peaceful than the mountain air and breathtaking sunsets we have! I’m a mom to three young adults and have had pets my entire life. My two fur babies are my world and when I’m not selling real estate, I love to snuggle and spend time with my girls. I love being in service to others, and what better way to give back than to assist with your pets’ care!

Jacob

I grew up with animals my entire life and love to care for them.  I grew up in Florida but have lived all over the country as an adult.  I am retired from the Army and work in Charlottesville.  I have three children ages 20, 10 and nine.  I have always had dogs and cats, and even some small animals like hamsters sprinkled in there over the years.  I have always been good with animals especially dogs, I have never met one I did not get along with.  I enjoy many outdoor activities and am an avid movie buff.

Josh O.

I am originally from the Shenandoah Valley, and have worked in the machining and manufacturing sector across the United States for most of my life. My family and I have decided to settle back in Virginia because we love it here, and we’re close to family and friends. We have owned many different “pets” along the way like black angus cattle, dogs, cats, chameleons and hermit crabs. When we’re not at work or school, we enjoy the outdoors, sports and anything to do with animals!

Sasha

I had the privilege of growing up in Croatia, where my childhood was enriched by the presence of animals. Upon beginning a new chapter of my life in Greece, after getting engaged, my now-husband and I felt a deep compassion for the stray dogs that roamed the streets. We rescued several of these animals, providing them with love, care, and ultimately, forever homes. One such lucky dog is Max, who has been a cherished member of our family for the past 15 years. It’s been 10 years since we moved to the US and built a new life for ourselves here. In addition to caring for animals, my days are filled with joy spent alongside my two wonderful sons, aged five and seven. I enjoy gardening, traveling, staying active with sports, and running.

Neva

I grew up right here in Charlottesville, Virginia. I have always had a deep passion for animals. I have known I wanted to be a veterinarian since I was 8 years old, and I’m currently pursuing my dream, studying animal science at Penn State University. When I’m on break, I love seeing my fur-friends at Fetch! My past experience include working with companion animals, and even spent a week with rhinos in Texas! I am always striving to give your pets the best care possible!

Sheila

I am a mother of four grown children, and grandmother to 11! I have loved animals since I was a toddler, especially dogs and horses. I have spent many years in the dog and horse industry as an instructor and trainer, and owned a large boarding facility in Texas. I have a passion for helping people with their animals. My daughters call me a dog whisperer; my son calls me a horse whisperer. My grandkids just call me Oma.

Max

I’ve had every type of pet imaginable growing up. From reptiles to rescues, house pets to farm animals–at one point, we had 9 dogs at the same time! I’ve worked with animals with disabilities, medical and behavior issues–nothing fazes me. I love the challenge of figuring out the pets’ needs and providing the best care possible.

Alexandria

I’m originally from Hampton, Va but I’m currently attending UVA as a Sociology student. I’ve always had a love for all types of animals and grew up taking care of my own pets as well as those of friends and family members. My love for animals only grew from then. I also love to travel, craft, sing, and try new foods. I currently live with my Yorkie named Athena, and we’re enjoying college life together!
